The 3 finalists in the ‘Volunteering’ category of the #BeActive EU Sport Awards have made exceptional contributions to sport through volunteering.

United Way Magyarország, Hungary

The Flow & Learn programme integrates sport and physical activity into education for children who struggle with ADHD or learning disabilities.

Through movement, inclusion and volunteering, the initiative helps children build confidence and connections.

The Borac Active programme combines elite combat sports with deep community involvement. Children are encouraged to find an activity that suits them and are given opportunities to volunteer and support others. They build friendships, develop discipline and feel accepted.

The Volunteering is Never Aged (VINA) promotes volunteering through age-appropriate activities and a strong sense of community. Women over 50 come together for group exercise activities, fostering healthy ageing.
