Call for Tenders: 'Support to the Development of Harmonised Sport Statistics in the EU'

To support evidence-based policy-making at the national and EU level.

This call seeks to do so by harmonising existing methodologies and definitions on sport statistics, paving the way towards a possible future European Sport Satellite Account.

The specific objectives include

• the set-up of a Task Force to elaborate, in collaboration with Eurostat, harmonised definitions and methodologies on sport statistics
• providing technical support to national efforts to develop national Sport Satellite Accounts
• contributing to the EU and national policy-making process by providing background information and analysis on specific topics using sport statistics on economic and social aspects
• The results of these activities will feed into the policy-making process, including the follow-up work of the Expert Groups on Economic Dimension and on Sport Statistics, in the context of the Council’s work and the implementation of the EU Work Plan for Sport 2021-2024.
