Erasmus+ Sport opportunities for 2025 – looking back on the latest Erasmus+ Sport Info Day

Attendees of the Erasmus+ Sport Info Day had the chance to explore a variety of engaging sessions, from gaining key insights into sport policy to learning how to submit proposals that meet all the requirements.

About the event

On 16 December 2024, the European Commission and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) invited the sport community to the annual Erasmus+ Sport Info Day. 435 participants attended in person, with another 3,533 connecting online.

The Info Day aimed to inform potential applicants about the political context, future Erasmus+ programmes and funding opportunities for 2025. 

The event featured a welcome speech given by Glenn Micallef, Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport, who highlighted the exciting road ahead for the sports sector.

Insightful closing remarks were provided by Georg Häusler, Director for Culture, Creativity and Sport.

Erasmus+ actions in the field of sport promote participation in sport, physical activity, and voluntary activities in a wide range of areas. They aim to use the power of sport to tackle today’s health and social issues.
