European conference on gender equality in sport: taking stock on progress and looking forward

Organised by the Spanish Presidency to the Council of the European Union and supported by the European Commission, this event will gather the sport community for a two-day conference.

The focus of the first day will be entirely on the European matters. The second day will add a more international flavour to discussions. Commissioner Helena Dalli will open the first day, and Commissioner Iliana Ivanova will close the second day with a video message.

The conference will take stock on the progress and challenges. Discussion topics, among others, will cover gender-based violence, women in leadership positions and women visibility in media topics.
