About the #BeActive EU Sport Awards
The 2026 edition of the #BeActive EU Sport Awards call for a prize has been published.
The awards recognise outstanding sport initiatives that help improve health, strengthen communities, promote inclusion and support shared European values. They highlight best practices and inspiring projects that encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to take part in sport and stay active.
Award categories
Applications are published in 5 categories
- Physical activity
- Inclusion
- Volunteering
- Across generations
- Peace
Budget and prizes
A total prize fund of €125,000 is available.
For each category
- 1 winner will receive €15,000
- 2 finalists will receive €5,000 each
Who can apply?
Applications are published to eligible organisations based in EU countries and other countries associated with the Erasmus+ Programme.
In the Volunteering category, individuals aged 18 or over can also apply.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain European recognition and inspire others across the continent.
Applications must be submitted through the Funding & Tenders Portal by 17 September 2026, 17.00, CEST.
