#BeActive campaign gears up to celebrate 10 years of the European Week of Sport

The 2025 #BeActive campaign kicks off on 23 June, Olympic Day, setting the stage for the 10th edition of the European Week of Sport in September.

From 23 to 30 September thousands of events across Europe and beyond will be celebrating the European Week of Sport’s 10-year anniversary.

This year’s #BeActive campaign marks a decade of impact encouraging everyone to embrace an active lifestyle and enjoy the benefits of staying active.

#BeActive – Then. Now. Always

Staying physically active is something that everyone can do, regardless of age. It is also a great way to bring people of all generations together. 

Staying active can also significantly enhance mental well-being and reduce stress, enriching our lives in countless ways.

10 years of the European Week of Sport

Since 2015, the European Week of Sport has grown into one of the EU’s most important sports awareness campaigns, inspiring millions to embrace healthy, active lifestyles.

Since 2015 the Week 

  • has been introduced in 42 countries and regions
  • had more than 103 million participants
  • had more than 353.000 of events
