The European Commission is looking to bridge an increasing gap between the availability of sports activities and people’s growing demand to pursue physical activities. It is doing this through the following 2 new calls for proposals in the field of sport.

Grassroots sport programmes and infrastructure innovation

With a total budget of €1.95 million this Preparatory Action aims to encourage the sport sector to improve its offer through creativity, innovation, and new practices.

Sport for People and Planet – a new approach on sustainability through sport in Europe

The objective of this new Pilot Project is to use the communicative platform of sport and sporting role models to encourage people to be more environmentally sustainable.

Actions supported under this project will also contribute to the implementation of the New European Bauhaus initiative. This call has a total budget of €1.44 million.
