New website provides relevant research and information on the fight against doping
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published a new website with relevant research and information on the fight against doping. This is a result of the ongoing collaboration among international organisations, including the European Commission.

EU action against doping
The protection of integrity and values in sport is one of the priority areas of the EU Work Plan for Sport 2021-2024. Action against doping is one of the activities, in which the EU ensures coordination and information-sharing with international partners.
Through Erasmus+ Sport actions, the European Commission supports international cooperation in sport, including on integrity and values in sport, one of the four sport-specific priorities in the annual calls.
The Commission also supports a pilot project that is building investigative capacity of anti-doping organisations to better fight doping in sport in Europe and enhance awareness within law enforcement, Europe’s decision makers and society.
New website by WADA
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published a new website that
- allows easy access to relevant social science research (SSR)
- highlights funding opportunities
- centralises access to research findings
- shares best practices
- provides updates on the fight against doping
The website also supports cross-border cooperation and ensures that results are shared and used in other cooperation activities.
Collaboration among international organisations
The website follows earlier work from an informal community of practice for international organisations that fund or support SSR in sport integrity matters.
The “SSR Collaboration Platform” was established by WADA with the involvement of the Council of Europe, the European Commission, the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Partnership for Clean Competition (PCC) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to raise the visibility of social science research in sport.
