The European Week of Sport in numbers

During the European Week of Sport, millions of people gathered throughout Europe and beyond to share their passion for sport and celebrate having an active lifestyle all year round.

The power of sport

15 million people participated in more than 50,000 activities organised by sport federations, local clubs, schools and sport organisations involved in the European Week of Sport.

Sport-lovers and newcomers had the opportunity to participate in various games, matches, hikes, swims and other initiatives to test themselves and discover what type of physical activity best suits their preferences and lifestyle.

This is a great success that shows how sport can really change our lives and  make us feel better.

Highlights from the European Week of Sport

While the European Week of Sport is over, we should all continue to practise sport for our mental and physical health.
