Erasmus+ sport actions on the rise in 2025

A total number of 350 projects were selected after responding to the 2025 Erasmus+ Sport calls for proposals.

The latest Erasmus+ Sport calls for proposals closed on 5 March 2025. 

Applicants have been individually notified by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) with the results of the selection process. 

With a total available budget of more than €67 million, 350 proposals have been recommended for funding.

This bar chart shows the number of proposals recommended for funding in 2025. On the top is small-scale cooperation partnerships with 185 projects and cooperation partnerships in the field of sport with 124 projects.

The EACEA received 2.390 proposals. This is an increase of 34% compared to the previous calls in 2024. 

The proposals received in 2025 are distributed as follows

  • Cooperation partnerships in the field of sport: 1.039 applications
  • Small-scale cooperation partnerships: 1.058 applications
  • Not-for-profit European sport events: 183 applications
  • Capacity building in the field of sport: 95 applications
  • Large-scale European event: 15 applications 

About the Erasmus+ sport actions

The Erasmus+ actions in the field of sport aim to address societal and sport-related challenges. 

The calls provide opportunities for organisations to address these challenges. They fund projects promoting participation in sport, physical activity and voluntary activities.
