A record number of 279 applicants from all over Europe have submitted their project for the new #BeActive EU Sport Awards.

This is a marked increase compared to 2024, when 234 combined applications were received for the former #BeActive Awards (106) and #BeInclusive EU Sport Awards (128).

The 2025 call, with 5 categories and increased funding, opened on 11 June and closed on 24 September.

The newly introduced category for volunteering received 23 applications.
