Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Education and Youth and Tomasz Frankowsk, Member of the European Parliament and Sports Group chair opened the event.

The aim of the event was to inform potential applicants and stakeholders about the funding mechanisms of the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 sport programme.

New aspects

The new aspects of the programme were discussed, as were ways to support sport organisations so they can meet the increased need for sports in our societies.

The attendees were able to interact and benefit from networking sessions. During the event, five sessions were dedicated to

  • structure
  • policy priorities
  • submission and evaluation process
  • funding mechanisms
  • tips on how to present a project
  • most frequent mistakes

After each session, the participants asked questions and received answers from the speakers.
