SHARE 2.0 initiative

Focusing on access to EU funding, health, innovation, and sustainability in the field of sport. It is the successor to the SHARE initiative, which ran between 2018 and 2023.

What is SHARE 2.0?

The purpose of SHARE 2.0 is to organise and strengthen cooperation and knowledge exchange on important topics such as access to EU funding, health, innovation, and sustainability.

SHARE 2.0 is based on 4 communities of practice aiming to

  • enhance stakeholders’ capacity to identify and use EU funding to promote sport and physical activity
  • promote and replicate promising practices in health, innovation, and green sport to learn from experiences
  • respond and adapt to potentially emerging needs

Communities of practice are a proven method. They allow all participants to take up an active role. They are a participatory system using members' pro-activeness to provide highly meaningful content.

Who can take part

Over 450 members have already joined the initiative.

This includes

  • national, regional and local administrations
  • grassroots sports organisations
  • federations
  • policy experts
  • practitioners interested in developing sport at local, regional, national, or European level

among others.

All members who join SHARE 2.0 also join the 4 communities of practice. This approach is based on feedback from members.  The goal is to maximise knowledge exchange.
