European Week of Sport 2025 in numbers

The 10th anniversary of the European Week of Sport mobilised over 15.1 million people across nearly 80.000 events, demonstrating the power of the impulse to #BeActive.

From 23 to 30 September, people of all ages and backgrounds took part in thousands of local and national activities - in schools, workplaces, parks, clubs and public spaces across the continent.

The week also reached elite sport levels. From Olympic and Paralympic champions to football and basketball legends and sport leaders,  everyone came together with EU Commissioner Glenn Micallef to spread the key message of #BeActive.
