Description of pledge activities
La Salle Sagrado Corazón School is committed to promoting HealthyLifestyle4All in all the school by encouraging the practice of physical activity and promoting a healthy lifestyle in the entire educational community (students, teacher, families, etc.) during and after school hours.
The school has planned several actions for this period including
- Organising national and international events and activities that encourage the practice of physical activity such as
- “European Sports Day”: playing alternative sports such as frisbee, dodgeball and more
- “No Elevators Day”: students dance when going upstairs and downstairs
- “Move Week”: practicing sports such as basketball, football, floorball
- “Moving Schools Challenge”: a challenge where all students must collaborate to reach a common goal. For example, pupils have to run or walk to achieve a distance from Madrid to important places for La Salle
- Educating students in a healthy lifestyle through sports
- Analysing the level of physical activity of the students through IPAQ (International Physical Activity Questionnaire)
Expected measurable outcome
- Participation in national and international events that encourage the practice of physical activity
- 75% of students participating
- 25% of staff participating
- 10% of families participating
- An increase in the amount of time students spend on doing physical activity. The impact will be assessed using IPAQ (International Physical Activity Questionnaire, "type C” - short version).
